Eagles Inspirit will be having a Sacred fire in honor and alignment with the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Every Child Matters and Orange Shirt Day.
🗓 Monday, September 28th, 2026.
📍 Burrardview Park, Vancouver, BC.
Knowledge Keeper Fabian Williams will be ensuring the fire is condoned according to protocol and medicines will also be available for offerings.
The park itself has a lot of historical significance to both Indigenous, Metis, and Inuit people and the early 1900 Vancouver settlers. Research of the land through city records uncovered a poorly run Orphanage and the lives of George Leask and others that died at the institution. Many of these children have had mixed ancestry, therefore were not eligible to access more adequate supportive services at that time. They may be gone but they're certainly not forgotten.
