📽️ Cowater International спільно з Canada-Ukraine Foundation та Музей Голодомору I Holodomor Museum шукає пропозиції від досвідчених виробників анімації для створення 2D-анімаційного фільму для дітей про Голодомор.

Ця можливість реалізується в рамках проєкту «Підтримка Національного музею Голодомору-геноциду України», що фінансується Canada’s International Development – Global Affairs Canada.

Обраний надавач послуг здійснить повний цикл виробництва 2D-анімаційного фільму (розробку візуального стилю, анімацію, звуковий дизайн, монтаж тощо). Фільм призначений для використання в онлайн-уроках, музейних екскурсіях та освітніх заходах. Технічні вимоги: формат 16:9, роздільна здатність 4K, тривалість 10 хвилин. Виробництво фільму має бути завершено не пізніше 31 жовтня 2026 року.

Запрошуємо до участі компанії та команди з підтвердженим досвідом виробництва 2D-анімації, зокрема для дитячої аудиторії, включно з досвідом роботи над чутливими історичними темами та співпраці з музеями й міжнародними організаціями.

📣 Request for Proposals: Production of an Animated Film for Children about the Holodomor

📽️ Cowater International, together with the Canadian-Ukrainian Foundation and the Holodomor Museum, is seeking proposals from experienced animation producers to create a 2D animated film for children about the Holodomor.

This opportunity is being carried out under the project "Support to Ukraine's National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide," funded by Global Affairs Canada.

The selected service provider will carry out the full production cycle of the 2D animated film (visual style development, animation, sound design, editing, etc.). The film is intended for use in online lessons, museum tours, and educational events. Technical requirements: 16:9 format, 4K resolution, 10-minute runtime. Production of the film must be completed no later than October 31, 2026.

We invite companies and teams with confirmed experience in 2D animation production, particularly for children's audiences, including experience working on sensitive historical topics and collaborating with museums and international organizations, to apply.

📝Продовжуємо серію знайомств із дослідниками Ініціативи "Спадщина Голодомору" — знайомтеся з Едуардом Байдаусом (Канада).

Його дослідження вивчає, як сусідня Румунія реагувала на голод, що охопив територію одразу за її кордоном. Спираючись на досі не залучені румунські та молдовські архіви — поліцейські та розвідувальні документи, судові справи й свідчення біженців, — Едуард простежує, як українці тікали через Дністер, рятуючись від Голодомору. Як румунська влада затримувала, допитувала і вирішувала долю цих біженців, і як королівська родина, уряд, преса та громадськість Румунії реагували на голод, що розгортався на їхньому кордоні.

📝Continuing our series introducing Holodomor Legacy Initiative researchers — meet Eduard Baidaus (Canada).

His research looks at how neighbouring Romania responded to a famine unfolding just across its border. Drawing on previously untapped Romanian and Moldovan archives — police and intelligence records, court files, and refugee testimonies — Eduard is tracing how Ukrainians fled across the Dniester to escape the Holodomor. How Romanian authorities detained, interrogated, and decided the fate of those refugees, and how Romania's royal family, government, press, and public reacted to the famine unfolding on their border.

Through the Holodomor Legacy Initiative, researchers are uncovering new evidence and perspectives that deepen our understanding of the Holodomor and its international impact.

The initiative is delivered through the project 'Support for the Exhibits of the National Museum of the Holodomor-Genocide’, implemented by Cowater International in partnership with Canada-Ukraine Foundation, with funding from Global Affairs Canada.

Overnight into July 30, Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine, firing 358 missiles and drones at cities from Lviv in the west to Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv and beyond. Homes, schools and kindergartens were damaged, and power was knocked out across multiple regions.

At least 8 civilians were killed and more than 50 wounded. In the village of Radushne near Kryvyi Rih, a missile struck a home sheltering a large family, killing 6 people, 3 of them children: a 6-year-old girl and boys aged 11 and 17. One person was killed in Kyiv and another in the Poltava region. Dozens more were wounded, including at least 34 people in Lviv, with children among the injured.
