It's Wednesday my dudes!

Our volunteers are working on the 2026 75 hour Winter Gaming Marathon... our LAST big fundraiser of the year! All donations made from now until the end of the year will go directly to our 2026 charity partners!

🫶This year the Sandbox Gaming charity fund goes to support Easter Seals NL, Autism Society NL, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Newfoundland and Labrador!

🗓️ Be sure to tune in any time between Thursday December 3rd at 5pm and Sunday December 6th at 8pm to cheer on our volunteers through 75 hours of gaming as we raise money for some amazing local charities!

To everyone that visited the games room this weekend to hang out and play some casual games, to the 3 different Game Developers that joined us with their demos (Games by Gabbz, MoshPit team, and Marble Quest team), to our friends at Fae Games that hosted some truely excellent RPGs all day Saturday, and to all the volunteers that put Avalon Expo together, we want to send a huge THANK YOU!

We had an absolute blast all weekend!!
We are already discussing what we can add next year!

Hello Gamers!

This weekend happening at the St. John's Convention Centre is Avalon Expo! On October 9, 10th, and 11th, enjoy a wide range of vendors, panels, gaming, retro tech, and more!

We are pleased to again be hosting the games room, where you can come and unwind during the convention. With free-play video games, board games, local demos, and prizes to be won, it's a great way to spend some free time between all the fun. Access to the games area is free with your convention admission, so come enjoy and learn more about what Sandbox Gaming does!

We encourage friendly card gaming/trading, StreetPass meet ups, and bringing your own handheld consoles.

SPECIAL GAMER GUESTS:
★ Fae Games (SATURDAY ONLY). RPGs/TTRPGs hosted all day long! Play weirder games with Fae Games!

★ Mosh Pit (Beta Test). Join local game developer Ben Strictland and play test a game where you try and to survive the perils of a mosh pit! NO POSERS ALLOWED!

★Marble Quest (Video Game). Developed by local game developer Wolf, this game is 100% made in NL and features a special guest marble voiced by none other than Ron Rubin!

★ Phishics (Video Game - PRE-RELEASE). Developed by Wolf (of the Marble Quest team). Fight physics and prove you're the most stylish fish!

★ G.A.B.B.S (TTRPG) and MageDuel™ (TCG). Both games entirely made in NL (including all art/artists!). Join Gabbz throughout the weekend to try out their Games by Gabbz! Note: these games are made for an intermediate tabletop playing audience.
