The provincial budget was released today, and students showed that our concerns could not be ignored.

Between an expanded tuition freeze, paid work terms, a tuition refund program, and investment into the Faculty of Nursing, we are pleased that student advocacy had direct impacts on the provincial government’s 2026 Budget.

We are, however, concerned with the lack of sustainable funding to Memorial University and the College of the North Atlantic, and stand in solidarity with Coalition partners who have sounded the alarm on these continued cuts.

We’re excited to bring together students from across the province for three days to build their professional skills as it relates to organizing, communication, labour relations, and so much more!

We’re especially excited to annouce our Ethical Job Fair happening during Skills. This fair will give delegates an opportunity to network with professionals in their fields of interest. Prioritizing people over profit has never been more important!
