Today is World No To***co Day.

To***co companies are targeting young people whose brains are vulnerable to ni****ne addiction.
And va**ng can harm more than you think:
🧠 Ni****ne is highly addictive and impairs brain development in individuals under the age of 25
☠️ V**e aerosols contains toxic substances
🫁 Va**ng increases risk of lung disorders
❤️ Va**ng increases risk of cardiovascular disease

For more information and resources on youth va**ng prevention, visit: www.truthaboutva**ng.ca (from the NL Alliance for the Control of To***co) -- All programs are locally developed and delivered here in NL.

• Participants are encouraged to explore and use the tools at their own pace.
• There’s no pressure to set a quit date or take any specific steps during the 4-week program.

Hi everyone! We are a Research Lab with Memorial University and we are currently looking for participants! We just created this page and you can also find us on Instagram under the same handle!

The Cahill Lab is conducting a study on microplastic/ nanoplastic exposure levels and its effects during pregnancy. We are looking for pregnant people between the ages of 18-45 who are less than 28 weeks along. Participating in the study includes blood samples, questionnaires and placenta tissue-collection! This study is supported by Health Canada. Contact Dr. Lindsay Cahill or Nadine Burry for more information!

Spending time with family and friends can help chase away the winter blues!

When gathering in person, use personal protective measures to help reduce the risk of getting or spreading respiratory illnesses:

- Improve indoor ventilation, for example by opening a window or door
- Clean your hands regularly
- Cover your coughs and sneezes

If you’re feeling sick, stay home and connect with others virtually instead to prevent spreading your illness.
