Tennis Saskatchewan is the provincial sport governing body responsible for the development, administration, and promotion of tennis in the province. We are a non-profit, non-government corporation, first registered with the Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs in 1976. We are active members of Sask Sport Incorporated, a non-profit, non-government federation of provincial sport governing bodies, and also Tennis Canada, the body governing the sport of tennis in Canada.

INTRODUCTION TO OFFICIATING CLINIC

The first clinic that everyone must complete is Introduction to Officiating. This is the basic clinic for people interested in becoming an official. After satisfactorily completion of this clinic, as well as other certification steps, an individual will be certified as Novice Roving Umpire.

Date: November 21 – 22, 2026

Times: Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Lunch provided both days

Location: Regina Administration Centre for Sport, Culture, and Recreation 2205 Victoria Avenue (parking available in lot west of the building)

Criteria for Entrance: Participants must be 16 years of age

Cost: $0.00 (Each participant will receive a copy of the Tennis Canada Rulebook “Rules of the Court”)

Clinic Facilitator: Dmitry Zhuchenko – Tennis Canada’s Provincial Representative for Alberta. ITF White Badge as a chair umpire in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

CHAMPION IN CAIRO!

Regina’s Isabella Ruyu Yan has claimed the girls’ singles title at the 2026 ITF J200 Cairo tournament in Egypt, defeating Carla Vazquez Alcudia in straight sets, 7–5, 6–0.

After battling through a competitive opening set, Yan took complete control of the final, sweeping the second set without dropping a game to secure the championship.

The victory marks an impressive achievement for the Saskatchewan junior on the international stage, adding an ITF J200 title to her growing tennis résumé.

2026 NCCP Tennis Instructor Course Registration Now Open!

Ready to start your coaching journey?
Join us in Regina for the NCCP Tennis Instructor Course, the first step in Canada’s coaching pathway!

Dates: November 13 – 15 and 27 – 29, 2026

Location: Regina Sportplex / Fieldhouse (1717 Elphinstone St)

Course Facilitator: Dani Gryckiewicz, Calgary

Cost: $550 + GST (includes 1-year TPA membership) Entry Deadline: Nov 12, 2026 Capacity: Min 6 / Max 10 Minimum Age: Must turn 16 within 1 year of course start 
Required Play Level: Minimum 3.0
This course includes on-court & online learning, demo and teaching evaluations, and all NCCP requirements for becoming a certified Tennis Instructor.

FROM SASKATCHEWAN ROOTS TO TEAM CANADA

A very special moment for Saskatchewan tennis.

Regina’s own Keegan Rice has been named to Team Canada for the first time in his career and is set to make his Davis Cup debut as Canada takes on France in Quebec City.

For Tennis Saskatchewan, Keegan’s journey is especially meaningful. He grew up in Regina, learned to play tennis right here in Saskatchewan, and came through the Tennis Saskatchewan pathway from the grassroots level. To now see him representing Canada on one of the biggest stages in international team tennis is something our entire Saskatchewan tennis community can be proud of.

The 20-year-old has had an outstanding 2026 season. As a sophomore at the University of Virginia, Keegan posted a 35-6 singles record, helped the Cavaliers capture the NCAA Division I National Team Championship, and finished the season ranked No. 12 in Division I singles.

His success continued on the professional circuit this summer. Keegan reached his first professional final at the M25 event in Laval before making a run to the semifinals of the ATP Challenger in Vancouver, the best Challenger result of his career.

And now, the next chapter: Team Canada.

Congratulations, Keegan! From your early days on the courts in Regina to wearing the maple leaf on the international stage, Saskatchewan will be cheering you on.

Prairie Teams head to Indoor Nationals

The 2026 U16 and U12 National Championships have begun, with our U12 athletes competing in Laval, Quebec, and our U16 team taking the courts in Toronto, Ontario.

Double Celebration for Tennis Saskatchewan

Congratulations to our juniors Karina Berska and Isabella Yan on their outstanding ITF tournament victories!

🌟 Karina Berska earned the Girls’ Singles Title at the ITF J60 Halifax Tournament, also held May 11–16. Karina’s impressive performance and competitive spirit led her to a well-deserved tournament victory.

🌟 Isabella Yan captured the Girls’ Singles Title at the ITF J100 Punta Cana Tournament in the Dominican Republic, held May 11–16. Bella showcased exceptional skill, determination, and resilience throughout the week to claim the championship against a strong international field.
