Exciting news! Social Prescribing in Regina is now open to referrals!
You may remember us sharing information about Social Prescribing and the Community Connector over the past year. Until now, referrals were made through physicians and nurse practitioners from specific clinics.
Now, anyone can make a referral!
Community organizations, service providers, family members, friends — and people themselves — can all connect someone aged 55+ with a Community Connector.
If you know someone who may be feeling isolated, or is looking to meet new people, find activities, learn about helpful supports, or access support to navigate everyday challenges, Social Prescribing may be able to help.
We have two Community Connectors, with one focusing on supporting Indigenous Elders and older adults.
The important thing is that the person knows about the referral and wants to be connected.
Check out the poster below for more information — and please share it with anyone who might benefit!

Fraud and scams can have profound and lasting impacts on the mental and emotional well-being of older adults. We have two resources designed to support older adults in understanding and navigating the emotional impact of fraud, while also offering pathways toward healing and recovery. One resource is for older adults and the other for health care practitioners and allies.
