Le Pôle sur la santé périnatale des Inuites abordera l’importance d’établir des relations humaines authentiques et significatives dans le cadre de la recherche menée auprès de communautés inuites, à quoi cette démarche peut ressembler et comment la recherche peut s’appuyer sur le vécu, le dialogue et la réciprocité.

Sous forme d’échanges et de témoignages, cette séance permettra de réfléchir aux enjeux liés à la recherche au sein des communautés du Nunavut, à la manière dont les communautés nordiques perçoivent les systèmes de santé et les services sociaux, la recherche et les chercheurs, ainsi qu’au rôle du Pôle sur la santé périnatale des Inuites dans la promotion d’un travail collaboratif et communautaire.

The next edition of the Pan-Canadian Women’s Health Coalition (PCWHC) Grand Rounds welcomes the Inuit Perinatal Health Hub!

On June 24 at 12 p.m. EDT, the Hub will share insights associated with meaningful and relational research engagement with Inuit communities.

Réunissant des chercheur·euses et des partenaires, cette séance informelle offrira un espace d’échange sur les aspects des soins où la stigmatisation est la plus présente, son influence sur l’accès et les résultats en santé, ainsi que les moyens de la contrer.

In late May, CanWaCH and Right To Play Canada co-hosted a two-day forum in Ottawa on advancing comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) as a cornerstone of sexual and reproductive health and rights ( ), gender equality and youth empowerment.

The forum brought together Canadian and global partners, policy makers, researchers, youth advocates and subject matter experts for an interactive exchange on how CSE can be better understood, strengthened and championed across policy and practice.

Together, participants shared lessons, explored emerging challenges and opportunities and identified practical ways to keep this work moving forward.

Thank you to all participants and partners who brought their insight, experience and energy to this important conversation!

À la fin du mois de mai, le CanSFE et Right To Play Canada ont organisé à Ottawa un forum de deux jours consacré à la promotion de l’éducation complète à la sexualité ( ), un pilier de la santé et des droits sexuels et reproductifs ( ), de l’égalité des genres et du renforcement du pouvoir des jeunes.

Le forum a réuni des partenaires du Canada et d’ailleurs, des responsables politiques, des membres de la communauté de recherche, des personnes engagées dans la défense des droits des jeunes et des spécialistes du domaine. Ensemble, ils ont réfléchi aux moyens de mieux comprendre, renforcer et promouvoir l’ECS dans les politiques et les pratiques. Les discussions ont porté sur les leçons tirées de leurs expériences, les occasions et les défis émergents, ainsi que sur des pistes d’action pour faire avancer ce travail.

Merci à toutes les personnes et à tous les partenaires qui ont contribué à cette importante conversation grâce à leurs perspectives, leur expérience et leur énergie.
