*** SPIN TO SKATE ***
On Saturday September 26th our good Friends of George Bray Sports Association, Karen Wilson, Jessica Ashton and Lyn Carapella pooled their resources and devoted many hours of work to make this an amazing day! It was a record fundraiser for GBSA, a Hockey League for players with Intellectual disabilities. www.georgebrayhockey.ca

They planned, organized and implemented a Spin 2 Skate / Spin-a-thon from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Damian Warner Fitness Centre South London Location. Led by Veteran spin instructor Karen Wilson the entire event was created to celebrate and support the incredible athletes and families of the George Bray Sports Association.

Spinning is an indoor cycling workout completed on a stationary bike. This event featured over 20 stationary bikes running continuously over a 4 hour period with different riders. There were 7 people who spun for 4 hours and over 100 - 30-min bikers,
all of which collected additional pledges, corporate sponsorships and community donations. It was an unforgettable workout party featuring a live DJ pumping music, energetic lighting, video screens, swag bags and amazing prizes and amazing participants.

They not only met their fundraising goal but they were able to double it. All profits will directly benefit George Bray Hockey, helping ensure more children of all abilities have the opportunity to experience the physical, social, and emotional benefits of being part of a Hockey team.

Every pedal stroke helped create opportunities for athletes who deserve the chance to play!!!

*Hockey School - Learn to Skate STARTS TONIGHT!*

Wednesday October 7th at 6:30pm. This is the first Learn to Skate session this season.

Please be at the arena at least 30 minutes before so you are dressed and ready to go on the ice to start at 6:30.

** HOCKEY STARTS THIS SATURDAY, OCT 3RD!! **

*If you need to register, pay or get fitted for equipment, please ensure you come early (at least an hour before your game time) or you may not be able to go on the ice this week.

** Coaches meeting tonight **

Please note - The one-way 'IN' road (Barrington Ave) leading to the arena is closed and you need to enter from the 'OUT' road (Granville St). The City of London website shows that it is open to 'local traffic' but Murray could not get through and needed to turn around.

Also according to the website, this closure should be resolved by end of day Friday so all will be good for Saturday's season kick off.

We will be holding our second day of registration today, Wednesday September 16th from 6pm to 8pm at Kinsmen Arena. We will be inside in front of Pad B, ready and waiting!

GBSA Registration opens today! We will be here from 9:00 until Noon.
** Reminder we are located at the back of the arena today. There is NO ACCESS to the front of the building.**

** PLEASE NOTE - due to ongoing construction at Kinsmen, REGISTRATION ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12th will take place at the BACK OF THE ARENA.

Please drive around to the back where we will be set up to get you registered.

There will be NO ACCESS to the back of the arena from the front doors. You must come around to the back.
