We had such a great time helping these lovely seniors build their confidence with technology, learn new skills, and get answers to their tech questions over the past six weeks. Join our free Tech Savvy digital literacy classes every Friday from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Each week, we explore a different topic: from emails and online banking to photos, browsing, video calling, meetings, scams, and more.

Have a specific question or topic you’d like to learn about? Give us a call or email us ahead of time, and we’ll do our best to include it!

Did you know that hearing loss is strongly linked to cognitive decline? For seniors, this is an especially important thing to keep in mind, as our hearing declines with age.

According to the Alzheimer's Society of the U.K., "Even low levels of hearing loss have been associated with increased dementia risk and a decrease in memory and thinking skills."

Ears to you, a hearing clinic in London, Ontario, is doing a free presentation on hearing health at our office on August 19, 2026 at 12PM to anyone who is interested. No sign-up required.

We are seeking a licensed plumber to take on work such as:

- laying out, assembling, installing, maintaining, or repairing pipes

- installing appliances such as faucets or toilets

- installing gas pipes or any tubing for a pneumatic or air-handling system

As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for the bulk of the client-facing communication for each assignment. You will provide a quote for each client based on the work they request, and will complete the work in a timely and professional manner.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of your financial records and will provide invoices to Over55's staff on a monthly basis.

Much of the communication between our office staff and our associates is conducted virtually. We are seeking candidates who are comfortable communicating via text and email, sending photos of completed work, as well as sending and accepting etransfers.
