If you're planning a visit to the London Children's Museum soon, you might notice a magical new addition to some of our exhibits! 🦋🪁
This past Monday, Vanessa and Nate from the LCM team spent the day with George Paisiovich, a local kite collector and enthusiast, installing select pieces from his collection. These wonderful kites are now on loan to the London Children's Museum, making our spaces a little more magical.
George has been collecting kites since 1978 and now owns one of the largest private kite collections in the world, with between 3,000 and 4,000 kites from 36 different countries! 🪁🌎
In a 2018 interview with CBC, George described his collection by saying, “It’s colourful, it’s whimsical, it’s play. In a word, it’s joy.”
We couldn’t agree more!
Thank you, George, for sharing your joy and whimsy, and for making the London Children's Museum a little more colourful for our visitors! 🪁
