🙏 Join us in prayer for Ecuador today!

Jesus, today we lift up children and families across Ecuador — from coastal communities to the Andes and the Amazon.

We pray for families facing unstable work, limited access to education and daily uncertainty.

Please provide what they need and strengthen them in the midst of difficulty.

We pray for children growing up in these conditions — that they would be protected, nurtured and given the opportunity to learn, dream and grow.

We thank you for the local church, faithfully creating spaces of care, support and hope.

Guide every leader, every volunteer and every program that walks alongside these families.

Where resources are limited, provide.
Where fear is present, bring peace.
Where the future feels uncertain, plant hope.

Lord, continue to work through your people in Ecuador. We pray that every life will be transformed in your precious name, Jesus.

Amen. 💙

For a long time, Nimbeth did not rest at night. The walls of her home were thin boards. The roof was made of borrowed metal sheets, never nailed down. 😔

When the wind came, everything rattled. When it rained, water came through. Smoke from cooking filled the single room where her daughters slept.

Fear lived with them. Romina and Zuri slept close to their parents, sharing warmth and waiting for storms to pass. Nimbeth held her breath through the night, listening to the roof shift above them.

🏠 Then safety entered their story. Through the Compassion centre and support made possible by the Highly Vulnerable Children fund, Nimbeth and her girls received a real home.

Solid walls. A roof that stays in place. A kitchen separate from where the children sleep.

Now, when it rains, the girls take naps. They spread out their toys. They laugh. The storms no longer decide how the night will go.

“Our house stands firm now,” Nimbeth says. “The storms become something we observe, not something we survive.”

This is what safety and stability make possible. Not just shelter and protection, but rest and room for joy to grow.

When you give a Gift of Compassion for safety and stability, you help families move from vulnerability into lasting security.

Legacy takes shape through the choices we make, the generosity we practice and the values we pass on.

On May 27, you are invited to Legacy in Motion, a free webinar hosted by Lorne Jackson, Mary Lynn Huizing from Advisors with Purpose.

This conversation is for anyone who wants their faith and generosity to have lasting meaning, for their family and for the lives they touch.

Together, we will reflect on:
💡 Why generosity is part of a faithful life
💡 How giving can be planned thoughtfully, now and through an estate
💡 Ways to share purpose and intention with family
💡 How example shapes others
💡 Practical tools that connect faith, values, and finances

Rosa had been living with her parents when the abuse began.

One family member hurt her repeatedly and treated her children cruelly. Some days they were denied food. Some nights they cried together, wondering if they could ever leave.

Rosa worked when she could, cleaning houses and selling second‑hand clothes. But work meant leaving her children behind. Staying meant danger. Leaving meant nothing to fall back on.

“I don’t know what to do,” Rosa remembers thinking. “We can’t stay here.” 😣 So she walked to the only place she knew would listen. The local Compassion centre.

She was not asking for money. She was not asking for a plan. She was hoping for a hug. Someone to tell her she was not alone. She found that. And more.

Through the Highly Vulnerable Children fund, the centre helped Rosa and her children move into a safe place of their own. They received rent support, basic furniture, food and counselling to help them begin again.

The children were cared for. Rosa was supported. Healing began, slowly and steadily.

Today, Rosa’s life looks different. Her children are thriving at the centre. They have a home where they can rest, play and feel safe.

This is what happens when compassion steps close. Not just to a child, but to a whole family. ✨

Dear friends,

My name is Piyamary — most people call me “Oo.” I’m a photojournalist for Compassion in Thailand and I want to share a glimpse of what I see as I travel across the country.

I see hardship, but I also see resilience. I see poverty that erodes dignity and I see God’s care made visible through local churches. 💒

Last year, I met girls near the Thailand–Myanmar border who miss school each month because they can’t afford basic sanitary supplies. With the right support, many of them are now receiving care and education — and staying in school. 🙌

Thank you for standing with children in Thailand. Please join us in prayer for open pathways to a brighter future and for every life transformed in Jesus' name.

With blessings,
Oo 💙

Alex and David grew up learning how to think about the future. 🚀

They noticed what people consumed every day and asked a practical question about health. 🤔 That question became an idea to make artisanal chocolate rooted in Ecuador.

Their goal is simple: To export widely and to share Ecuadorian chocolate with the world. 🍫

But the story did not begin with a business plan. It began years earlier, when they were children.

At the Compassion program, they were learning long before they realized it. Classes, workshops and training in entrepreneurship and accounting. A sense that what they were doing mattered, even when they were young.

“We felt like we were being prepared for the future,” they said.

Their father Jhonny is clear about one thing: He doesn't know where they would be without that early support from Compassion.

The impact did not stop with the siblings. It reached their family, community and the people they now inspire.

Because when Christ transforms a life, He also transforms the space around it. 💙 Follow us to learn more!
