Last Friday, we teamed up with our friends to help at Old Oak Properties naturalize this city greenspace. Volunteers helped remove invasive European Buckthorn, and planted almost 100 trees to replant the understory. Efforts like these make a meaningful impact in bringing our community together to enjoy shade in our urban forest. Thank you to Old Oak Properties for coming out as a team, planting a greener future one day at a time!

Exciting News – It's our Community Tree Nursery Anniversary! It’s hard to believe we are already one year into growing, but we could not be more excited! One year of growing roots, hope and community. Here’s to every seed planted and every person who helped it grow. We have a ton of events planned for this season to help celebrate this moment. If you’re interested in volunteering in the Community Tree Nursery by yourself or with a group, there’s space for everyone and we’re looking forward to seeing new faces here. We had a fantastic morning planting with Dillon Consulting last Friday! The sun was shining and volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got their hands in the dirt, ready to help restore the understory in this naturalized space. The volunteers were able to remove invasive species such as European Buckthorn and Black Locust, which outcompete the native species that already exist in the forest. Thank you to all of the volunteers from the community and Dillon Consulting who joined us to make this park planting happen, we’re excited to see the trees flourish in their new habitat.

Last Thursday, we were privileged to host ReForest London for a teambuilding morning!

They did a great job, and also took some time to say hi to the horses. Here they are with Major, taking a quick rest before they got back to work.

What an incredible evening to kick-off the London Majors season! Your shared enthusiasm for bringing Londoners together at the Forks of the Thames reminds us how great it is to be a part of the Forest City community.
