The Collectors We sew bears, quilts, book bags, pencil cases and little girls shift dresses. The Collectors began in Cranbrook, BC, and has been operating for over a decade!

We also crochet/knit/loom toques, scarves, mittens, slippers, socks, hygiene cloths, dish cloths, lap blankets or afghans, for those in need, distributed through our partners. We’ve now established in Lethbridge, and partnered with major local charities, including Streets Alive and My City Care. We’ve helped the homeless, the hungry, pregnancy centres, children from abusive homes, and individuals/families in need. Our network distributes items to help those in need, right from locally to at an international level! A small portion of items made are available for sale and we tithe 10% to Samaritan's Purse, Christmas Shoeboxes, or the Park Meadows Missions Fund. The remainder is used for the operation of The Collectors.

Another Busy season at The Collectors Charity! 😁
The Collectors Charity can accomplish MUCH through donations and our volunteers' hard work. ❤️

Sometimes people see the completed donations, but they don’t always see everything that happens "behind the scenes," from being collected, sorted, made, and donated!

Recently, we have been able to provide items to several wonderful organizations, including Teen Pregnancy Outreach, Angel Tree, My City Care Taber, OCC, and Sass Cat Rescue!

Among the donations are:
-Lethbridge Pregnancy Care Centre(LPCC): 8 blankets, 6 mittens, 8 toques, 1 headband, 1 stuffy and 1 sleeper.

-Angel Tree: 105 pencil cases, 59 drawstring bags, 22 pairs of mittens, 4 pairs of slippers, 4 neck warmers, 17 headbands, 1 stuffy, 1 Christmas stocking, 113 toques, 37 scarves, 4 sweaters, 1 shawl and 9 blankets.

-My City Care, Taber: 200 bears, 22 mittens, 15 headbands, 4 neck coolers, 114 toques, 64 pencil cases, a stuffed toy, a doily, 33 scarves and 13 blankets.

-OCC (Operation Christmas Child): 100 brushes, 7 stuffies, 2 key chains, 384 hygiene cloths, 21 frisbees, 31 scrubbies and 438 bears.

-Sass Cat Rescue: 11 cat beds and 75 cat toys.

And this is only one snapshot of what goes on all the time at The Collectors Charity!😊

We are so grateful for each person who donates financially, via scraps & supplies, and with their time and talent😍. What might look like a small piece of leftover material can become something useful and special for someone else.

Sunday September 20 was a very special day for The Collectors Charity.😊
Recent circumstances required us to find a new Local location to house the Charity.
Obviously, being completely non-profit we depend on a donated space to keep the Charity viable. Otherwise, the future of the Charity was uncertain.
I didn’t have much time to deal with this matter yet, but was praying for God’s will & direction, whether He would open the doors to a new location or if He would prompt me to shut it down…

SO…We were absolutely BLESSED today when we were donated use of a heated industrial Bay, giving us the space we desperately needed to house and sort all of our supplies!😀

For the purpose of this post, our donator preferred to remain anonymous, but we are extremely thankful to God for sending this wonderful person our way, and for providing us with such an incredible blessing.❤️

We are especially thankful for:
1. Having the (mouse-proof) storage space we desperately needed.
2. Having a heated, lighted area to work in.
3. Not having to traverse stairs.
4. Having a wonderful & ample space where we can sort, organize, and store all of our supplies.

This donated space is going to make a massive difference for The Collectors Charity and the work we are able to do! We are truly grateful for the very generous gift and for the kind-hearted person who made it possible. ❤️

Sometimes the blessing really does come at exactly the right time. 🙏

This summarizes another fantastic delivery done for The Collectors Charity over the summer😀:

-Angel Tree, Lethbridge: 300 toques, 300 bears, 2 crochet bags, 1 knit sweater, 1 baby toque and mitten set, 1 baby blanket, 1 baby robe, 2 baby slippers, 3 vests, 2 cell cases, 3 neck warmers, 1 sweater, 11 scarves, 6 rugs, and 16 blankets.

-Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge: 27 blankets and 20 bears.

-My City Care, Taber: 3 neck warmers, 20 bears, 2 sweaters, 14 headbands, 8 placemats, 5
toques, 1 pet bed, 5 scarves, 3 rugs, and 22 blankets.
Earlier, we also delivered 12 additional blankets.( not in the pic.)

-Sass Cat Rescue Ranch, Coalhurst: 29 cat beds.

-Cranbrook BC : 39 book bags:
Our dear Friends Bob & Louise will deliver these in the Fall to the Cranbrook food Bank & Canadian Food for Children (CFFC) in Penticton BC.

Hello everyone!😀
Over the summer, the Collector's Charity had the opportunity to support Operation Christmas Child with a delivery of:
-140 pencil cases,
-140 toques, and
-120 hygiene cloths(not all in the pics.)

Projects like these are made possible through the generosity of our supporters, volunteers, and everyone who helps us make use of materials that might otherwise go to waste.

Every item is made with love, care and with the hope that it will bring comfort and practical support to a child receiving a shoebox gift.

We are grateful to be able to contribute to a program that reaches children around the world and makes their Christmas a little brighter.

Last week we had another meaningful delivery for The Collectors Charity:
We were honoured to deliver 50 donated blankets to the Lethbridge Chinook Regional Hospital!😁
These blankets were generously donated by one of our key contributors, Lee,❤️and will now be available to help bring a little extra warmth and comfort to patients and families when they need it most.

A simple blanket may seem like a small thing, but during a hospital stay, small comforts can make a big difference.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to making this donation possible, and thankful for the opportunity to support our community in this way.

A couple of weeks ago Susan(in the pic), Beth and Karen, decided to have a work bee. They stuffed and sewed up 35 cat beds that day. I so appreciate all their hard work; thank you ladies.🙏😀

As many of you know, The Collectors Charity takes great pride in making sure as little as possible goes to waste. Rather than sending fabric scraps to the landfill, we find ways to repurpose them into something meaningful.
Those scraps become cat beds and cat toys that are donated to cat rescues and organizations that care for cats in need.

These photos show some of the steps involved in making our cat beds. A lot of time, care, and effort goes into each one before it is ready to be donated.
What you don't see here is the next step—each bed still needs a cover made before it can be sent out to its new home.

It's amazing to see how something that might otherwise be discarded can be transformed into comfort, enrichment, and a little extra love for cats waiting for their forever families.

A couple of weeks ago, The Collectors had the opportunity to support Sass Cat Rescue in Coalhurst with a special donation.
With Stephanie as our contact at the rescue, and thanks to Beth for making the delivery, we were able to provide 22 cat beds and 62 cat toys for the cats in their care.
We're grateful for organizations like Sass Cat Rescue that work hard to help animals in need, and we're happy to play a small part in supporting their efforts. Thank you to everyone who helps make donations like these possible.
Every bed, every toy, and every act of kindness helps make a difference. 🐾💚
