A couple of weeks ago Susan(in the pic), Beth and Karen, decided to have a work bee. They stuffed and sewed up 35 cat beds that day. I so appreciate all their hard work; thank you ladies.🙏😀
As many of you know, The Collectors Charity takes great pride in making sure as little as possible goes to waste. Rather than sending fabric scraps to the landfill, we find ways to repurpose them into something meaningful.
Those scraps become cat beds and cat toys that are donated to cat rescues and organizations that care for cats in need.
These photos show some of the steps involved in making our cat beds. A lot of time, care, and effort goes into each one before it is ready to be donated.
What you don't see here is the next step—each bed still needs a cover made before it can be sent out to its new home.
It's amazing to see how something that might otherwise be discarded can be transformed into comfort, enrichment, and a little extra love for cats waiting for their forever families.
