If you saw last Sunday's service, you may remember Trevor sharing his very real dilemma: his favourite toilet paper is made in the U.S., and it may be time to find a new favourite. Naturally, we thought McKillop should help. Between now and September 27, bring a new, unopened package of toilet paper to Sunday service or drop off at the office during the week and join the search for Trevor’s next favourite. It’s all in good fun, but there’s a good purpose behind it too: all the toilet paper collected will be donated to Lethbridge charities. Help Trevor out. Help our neighbours out. Everybody wins!”

🔥 Is it just me or is it getting hot in here??

Alberta is getting heated, and no, not just the fun kind of heated rivalry. 🏒

It'll happen at kitchen tables, in coffee shops, in congregations, and between people who love each other.

We can't lower the temperature of the whole province. But - we can get better at the conversations in front of us.

Affirming Connections is hosting Peace Team Training with Nonviolent Peaceforce, which has spent over 20 years providing unarmed civilian protection in conflict zones worldwide. This is the same de-escalation and bystander-intervention training they give their own field teams - adapted for neighbours, parents, faith leaders, teachers and volunteers here at home.

You'll learn how to:
• Stay in a hard conversation without escalating it
• Disagree without dehumanizing the person across from you
• De-escalate a heated public moment and know when to step back

WELCOME BACK SUNDAY - September 13th at 10:30 AM

The fall is here and we are reigniting at McKillop as worship, Spirit Kids, small groups, and events take off again after a summer break.

On Sunday, September 13th ... it is all happening with music, a new worship series entitled, "Seeking Hope", Spirit Kids for children, and a welcome back lunch to help us launch!! We hope to see you as we blast off.

For Everybody Who has Attended Canyon Church Camp!!

Real life got you down? Escape to the beautiful woods of Waterton at Canyon Church Camp. Join us for our Alumni Camp, September 25th-27th.
Registration Fee includes 2 nights' accommodation, 5 meals including hike-compatible lunches along with tuck and mug-up snacks.
This event is not only for CCC Alumni campers, staff, and volunteers. It is meant to be an opportunity for alumni to share this amazing place with the special people in their lives.
