Join us for our 3rd annual haunted house scavenger hunt! This year, we decided to change the mechanics a little bit to make it more of an easy puzzle than a scavenger hunt. It will be loads of fun, teams of 2-4 people are encouraged! Admission has been raised to $10, but as always, if you 👻 decide to help volunteer at all, admission is free for volunteers. Join us for our language exchange night!
This night will start off with a class portion, a language cafe filled with fun japanese games and more! The second portion of the night will start at 7:30pm, offering students and volunteers an informal chance to work on their japanese or english, and have a fun time doing so! We will have snacks, card games, and video games to play. Bring along a snack to share if you are able to!

🇨🇦 3rd Annual NCS Ikigomi Canada Day Potluck Party! 🇨🇦
Hey everyone! Canada Day is just around the corner, and our volunteer group is hosting our 3rd Annual Canada Day Potluck! Come out for an evening of great food, fun games, and excellent company as we keep this tradition going.
Here are all the details you need to know:
📅 Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026
⏰ Time: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Location: Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta

🎲 What’s on the Agenda?
We’ve got the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor activities lined up:
Inside: Cool off and fire up the console! We'll be running Nintendo Switch games.
Outside: Soak up the summer sun with a variety of fun outdoor games.
🍲 Potluck Details & RSVP
To help us coordinate the food and get a headcount, everyone needs to sign up in advance.
📝 How to Join: Please fill out the sign-up sheet by June 30th. Don't forget to let us know what dish, snack, or drink you plan on bringing so we can have a great variety of food for everyone!
We can't wait to celebrate our 3rd annual Canada Day together. See you there!

Reminder of our language exchange happening this thursday. We had our first test trial last month, and we had so much fun we want to make this a monthly thing! We aim to have our conversation cafes to be the first thursday of every month, at 6pm. Free to attend. Sign up is in the link in bio or using the qr code. DM if you have any questions!

A toban assists in preparation for service at the buddhist temple of southern alberta. The acts of this volunteer activity includes prepping the shrine, flowers, and food to serve to members for after service. As the temple often lets us use their space for activities, this is a part of how we give thanks back. Meal prepping on sunday mornings is both peaceful, and stressful at times. The results of our spirited away dinner movie night! Its always a blast hosting these for the community. Spirited away has so much food in it, it was hard to choose what to serve! Only means we get to do it again 😆
