Miss Molly had a recent visit last week! Her vet checkup at Britannia Kingsland Veterinary Clinic confirms that she has a massive heart murmur, an enlarged liver, and indicated signs of an old leg injury that’s preventing her from perching and getting around properly. Her bloodwork also showed high cholesterol and fat levels.

She’s now on pain medication and has been doing so much better! Her foster mom has even observed that she will now perch with one foot to sleep 🥹 She’s doing so much better every day. We will most likely also put her on heart medication. These expenses really do add up!

We are happy to have Molly as our new permanent foster, but these medical issues don’t just show up out of nowhere. A poor diet and lack of exercise got her here, on top of having to breathe in cigarette smoke on a daily basis. We’ll continue to support and keep her comfortable for as long as she’ll let us ❤️‍🩹

Upcoming gathering! 🎉🎉
June 14th at 2:30pm. Come join us at Theoretically Brewing, we will be making toys to take home for your feathered friends and for the foster birds waiting for their forever homes!
Birds are welcome, members are free. Drop-in fee $10.

This sweet boy is still looking for a new perch to land on! He had a pending visit but it fell through 😔 Axel has been waiting very patiently for 6 months now!

He is a big sweetheart and has really been coming out of his shell. Thank you to his fosters for helping him get to where he is now! 💚

Koko is due her annual vet check up! She’s been with Greta’s Roost for a year now & is still waiting for her forever home 😔🙏 Here she is being silly and unaware of the horrors about to come 😟

Big thank you to one of our veterinary clinics, Britannia Kingsland Veterinary Clinic! While Koko may not have been very happy after her appointment, we are so incredibly thankful for the amazing communication and wonderful staff 💚 She has a clean bill of health! She is a little chunky as she loves to be a couch potato, either on her playstand or preening on her foster parent… 😆 We are working on getting her to be more active!
