‼️LOOKING FOR FOSTER HOMES‼️

We are looking for foster homes, especially for big birds like macaws and african greys! One of our foster homes currently have 2 macaws, an african grey, and a permanent foster 😖 It is getting quite overwhelming and we are looking for some help - at this moment, without any further help, we will not be able to take in any more surrendered bigger birds.

If you meet the requirements for fostering with us, please submit an application! Our foster homes help us take in more birds, especially birds in need like Charlie and Nelson. Please check out our website for more information for fostering, we would really appreciate the help! Thank you for supporting us! Even if you can't take in bigger birds and can only do smaller birds, we are always looking for more help 💚

💙 UP FOR ADOPTION 💙

Rain is a young, 8 year old macaw who is the sweetest girl around! 🥹 She is also the silliest now too 🤣

She absolutely LOVES everyone! She would do best in a home where she can always see her family and know where they are. She absolutely loves all the attention she can get.

♥ NEW INTAKE ♥

Welcome to the Roost, Nelson! This cute boy is a 28 year old African Grey, who was surrendered to us this weekend alongside Charlie. These two were very loved by their previous owner but could no longer care for them due to the owner's health.

Nelson and Charlie will soon be taken to our avian vet to ensure a clean bill of health. Thank you to Emma D. for your generous donation yesterday! 🥹Donating helps us help the birds, and any dollar helps.

💚 NEW INTAKE 💚

Meet Charlie! Charlie is an 18 year old Greenwing Macaw that was surrendered due to his owner's medical reasons. This boy was very well loved and is currently on intake hold to ensure a clean bill of health. Charlie was surrendered with Nelson the African Grey, who we will post photos of tomorrow!

Beau is a whiteface cockatiel that was surrendered to us a couple weeks ago. He has been really opening up in his new foster home and is such a sweetheart! 🖤

This cute boy has had a vet checkup with our avian vet and has had bloodwork done. He has some issues with his liver due to his previous improper seed diet, but his wonderful foster mom will be working on transitioning him to healthier foods like pellets and chop! Thank you Dr. Katie for always taking such amazing care of our birds ☺️

Congratulations to Stevie and Norman! We love to see new friendships form 🐥

Stevie is a whiteface cockatiel that was surrendered to us a couple of weeks ago. His foster mom has taken such wonderful care of him, and after 2 weeks of intake hold, Stevie turned into a foster fail! 💚

Fostering with us allows families to see if a bird will be the perfect fit for their home and their flock. We've seen so many success stories this way, as it gives you and the bird a little bit of time to get to know each other and bond.

Interested in fostering? We are always looking for fosters, especially for those comfortable with handling medium/large sized birds. We provide all accessories, including vet checks as well. All we would need from you is the time, patience and a safe space to help socialize your potential foster.

We only take foster homes that are half an hour away from our board members located in Lethbridge, Calgary or Chestermere, Alberta. If you're farther away from us, we always still appreciate your support, whether that's from interacting with our posts or donating! 🙏
