The City and County of Lacombe has a rich history of supporting amateur sports and culture. Our region is home to The Lacombe Athletic Park, a new multi-use facility developed for use by athletes and cultural organizations as well as local Football, Soccer and Rugby teams. The Park includes a field house complete with change rooms with showers, a concession, public washrooms, and a spotting and me

dia tower. The facility also offers two grandstands that seat 1500 spectators, a new score clock, and a field and track lighting system. The field has an artificial turf surface with lines marked for football, two mini soccer pitches, one regulation soccer pitch and a regulation Lacrosse field. The Lacombe Athletic Park Association (L.A.P.A.) is a non-profit organization which is responsible for the facility development as well as the ongoing operation of the park. After entering into a sub-lease agreement with the City of Lacombe, the L.A.P.A. manages the facility for the City of Lacombe and handles marketing, booking, and the related operations of the park including all related expenses and the funding of a capital reserve. is mandated to provide local groups subsidized rates to use the facility and to promote the park as a multiuse facility for local, regional and provincial sporting and cultural events.

The LMF Annual General Meeting will be held at the MEGlobal field house upstairs meeting room on June 1, 2026, at 6:00 pm. A special resolution will be included, for the adoption of new LMF Bylaws. See draft bylaws in the Resources tab. ( on the website)

All board positions are up for election this year! Please see description of position duties in the bylaws. We are recruiting for a communications director, secretary, treasurer, fundraising/apparel/sponsorship director and equipment director.

We are also still looking for a head coach for our Atom team!

A draw will be held for a free registration for the 2026 season for AGM attendees
(1 ballot per family)!
