January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Canada. The Alzheimer Society has compiled some excellent resources and information if you want to learn more about this disease and its impact on Canadians.

The term "dementia" doesn't actually refer to one, specific disease. Rather, it's an overall term for a set of symptoms that are caused by disorders affecting the brain.
