As we enjoy the Victoria Day long weekend, police and RCMP are out in full force with widespread checkstops to keep our roads safe.

* Plan ahead for a safe ride home.
* Call emergency services immediately if you suspect an impaired driver.

Thank you to everyone who participated in National Impaired Driving Prevention Week. Impaired driving doesn't just apply to cars – it also applies to motorcycles, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles and other forms of transportation. We must all doing our part in keeping our roads and waterways safe!

πŸŽ‰πŸš“ Annual Charity Check-stop – Community Event! πŸš’πŸŽ

πŸ“… November 29th

The Lacombe Police Service wishes to advise the public that we will be hosting our annual Charity Check stop on November 29th, 2025, between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Members of the Lacombe Police Service and Lacombe Fire Department will be set up on 50 Avenue between 52 Street and 53 Street.

All proceeds from the event go toward supporting the Lacombe and District Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Lacombe and District Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) Chapter.

We will also be accepting donations for the Lacombe Food bank and New Toy donations for Santa’s Anonymous. πŸŽπŸŽ„
