📣 We’re proud to support The Broom Tree through the City of Lacombe Community Grant Program!

In partnership with the City of Lacombe, FCSS is pleased to provide funding to support the Broom Tree Sisters Program — a meaningful initiative focused on women mentoring women, building connections, encouraging growth, and strengthening our community.

Due to a growing need for immediate and affordable housing in our community, The Broom Tree Foundation continues to see increasing demand for supportive housing. In partnership with the City of Lacombe Affordable Housing Strategy and Tricon, The Broom Tree Foundation operates 3 apartment “nest” units in Lacombe, supported through funding from ECHO Energy, local churches, and generous donors.

Our "nests” provide safe housing for women and their children navigating difficult life circumstances and since opening, they’ve remained at full capacity, supporting over 45 families on their journey into stable, stable housing.

A glimpse into the future of The Broom Tree Foundation 💙

Currently under construction, we are aiming to welcome guests in Fall 2026, our new two-unit transitional housing, located above The Broom Tree Foundation offices will provide safe, affordable community-style living for women and their children as they work toward stability and independence.
