💚 We are honoured to be nominated for Non-Profit of the Year! 💚
Echo Food Rescue has been nominated for Non-Profit of the Year at the Lacombe & District Chamber of Commerce Business Gala Awards, and we are incredibly grateful to be recognized alongside so many amazing organizations in our community.
What started as a simple idea to keep good food from going to waste has grown into something pretty incredible. Every week, our volunteers rescue thousands of pounds of food that might otherwise end up in the landfill and get it back into the hands of people in our community who can use it.
But Echo Food Rescue has become about so much more than rescuing food. It’s about bringing people together, reducing food waste, helping stretch grocery budgets, supporting other local organizations, and making sure good food gets used instead of thrown away.
None of this would happen without our amazing volunteers, food donors, community partners, and every person who comes through our doors and helps us rescue food.
This nomination belongs to all of you. 💚
