Our JS McCormick park improvements start next Wednesday June 24th!! Thanks to grants like we are adding some plants to the school yard including a medicine wheel garden. With the help of Wolf Botanical Lacombe and a few volunteers we will complete our new gardens 🪏🌳🌾🌺. If you are in the neighbourhood at the end of next week, take a walk through our park and enjoy the new additions to the space 🙂

We are still collecting Boston Pizza receipts!!! If you have any receipts please drop them at the JS McCormick office or at the library. Every dollar will help cover any additional costs associated with the playground build. Last day to get them in is Wednesday June 24th.

We are excited to announce that we are the proud recipient of the grant!!! We look forward to using this money to do landscaping at Ecole James S McCormick School. Keep your eyes open for updates on the new medicine wheel garden, trees, and perennials that will be planted in June 🌳 🌺

LPSES is gearing up for our 2nd Annual Charity Bake Competition!
We are looking for help from our local bakers, restaurants and businesses. If you are interested in participating and helping to make a difference in the lives of our community families, please connect with us here or via email- [email protected]

How it works - As a business you choose a bakery type item to feature for the month, $1 from each sale of that item goes towards the Society's current project. This year we are currently still fundraising for the accessible and inclusive playground at JS McCormick School.

We are so close to our goal, and we know we can get there with the help of our local businesses.

Did you know that when providing safe inclusive play opportunities for children to play alongside, each other they develop skills such as language and cognitive skills. This is done by observing and listening to others. They learn to play and interact in new ways while building their social and emotional skills at the same time.
