🏆LACOMBE CHAMBER BUSINESS AWARDS NOMINEE🏆
We are extremely excited to announce that we are a nominee in the not for profit of the year category for the Lacombe District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala!! What a tremendous honor! We love our community, and we love working to make it a place that all can call home and all can live happily in as their true authentic selves!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Being alongside some amazing not for profits in our community is an honor and we want to give them a massive shout out and praise for all the work that they do to make our city better!💖 We also have to say thank you to the amazing volunteers that make our events and programs happen, none of this would be possible without you, so THANK YOU for believing in us!🫶

WE WANT TO SHARE AN AMAZING STORY🫶🐾
We hope this story warms your hearts as much as it did ours!🥹

This is Chickie (1st Image), they were one of the adoptable puppers from saving grace at our event who was looking for a new forever home! We had an amazing turnout and met some amazing people while putting on our event, but that night Chickie did not find a home but one of the amazing humans we met, would change that! This is Brad ( and family, 2nd and 3rd slide), during the event Brad met Chickie and fell in love with her (who couldn't with those eyes💖) and said if he won he would adopt her, and guess what??? BRAD WON!!🥳 and moved forward with the adoption of Chickie who is now Winnie and gave her a forever home!🥹🥹 Our hearts are extremely full seeing this amazing doggo find a loving and beautiful family to call her own!! Thank you to all who supported the event and made it possible! Thanks to you were were able to donate $140 from the raffle basket to Saving Grace Animal Rescue!✨️ Thank you to our amazing Sponsors, Curious Tales, Tilted Barns, Four Roots, Saving Grace and GrayHound photography for your contributions to Pups and Pints!! And a MASSIVE thank you to Blindman Brewing for letting us take over the patio and make it a little extra sparkly!🌈

Pride is always fun but the stories that come afterwards truly reminds us why pride no matter how big or small is so important and can help bring so many people (and animals🐾) TOGETHER!🫶

Now that we have had some time to rest and catch up on some sleep, we wanted to hop on and say, on behalf of the entire Board of Directors, a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved in making Lacombe Pride 2026 possible!💖

Last but certainly not least! Our 2 Spirit Learning day in collaboration with RDNFS RDNFS is happening today!!! Its going to be a fantastic day! We have a Pipe Ceremony, Teachings from indigenous elders and leaders, a round dance and so much more!🏳️‍🌈

To register individuals for their "Trans ID Clinic", read through the post to know more information!
The Trans ID Clinic is a free service from Student Legal Services of Edmonton that assists trans individuals with changing their legal name and gender marker on Canadian birth certificates. The Trans ID Clinic will be at Pride in the Park in Lacombe on Saturday, August 16th to assist people with name change and gender marker change paperwork. Legal documents can get confusing! Student Legal Services is here to make sure that these forms are submitted correctly. We will also be offering a free notarization session at the end of the month. There are no costs associated with the Trans ID Clinic, but patrons still carry the responsibility of paying associated registries and government fees for name and gender marker changes. The Trans ID Clinic is open to everyone!🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
🌈So if you have been trying to get your legal documents changed to your new or preferred name, this is a great opportunity to do it!✨️ If this is you, head to our bio or below and click the link to fill out the form!🔗 You will receive more information from the legal team with next steps!📑
