This month, KidSport Lacombe County recognizes and celebrates the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples.

Sport has the power to bring people together, build confidence, create friendships, and strengthen communities. Every child deserves the opportunity to experience those benefits, regardless of financial circumstances.

At KidSport Lacombe County, we are proud to help remove financial barriers so Indigenous children and families, along with all families in our community, have access to organized sport and recreation opportunities.

As we celebrate National Indigenous History Month, we encourage our community to learn, listen, and reflect on the stories, achievements, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples while continuing to work toward a more inclusive future for all.

Together, we can ensure that every child has the chance to play, belong, and thrive.

At KidSport, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and belong through sport.

This Pride Month, we celebrate inclusion, respect, and the unique qualities that make each child who they are. Whether on the field, court, rink, or track, every kid deserves a safe and welcoming place to participate, make friends, build confidence, and have fun.

Together, we can help ensure that barriers don't keep kids from experiencing the lifelong benefits of sport.

💛 Applying for KidSport Lacombe County Funding is Simple & Confidential 💛

We understand that asking for financial support can feel intimidating, but we want families to know that the process is private, respectful, and designed to help make sports accessible for local kids.

Here’s how easy it is to apply:

1️⃣ Complete the application form
2️⃣ Provide one of the documents below:
A) Canada Child Benefit Notice - page 1&2 of the most recent tax year.

B) Proof of Income Statement-each adult in the home- accessed through CRA My Account

C) Notice of Assessment-each adult in the home-most recent tax year

D) Income Support

E) Subsidized Housing

F) Child Health Benefit letter

3️⃣ Submit your application online or by mail

4️⃣ Our confidential review committee reviews applications privately

5️⃣ Approved funding is sent directly toward your child’s sport registration fees

✔️ Applications are kept confidential
✔️ Information is only reviewed by the KidSport committee members involved in processing applications
✔️ We are here to help if you have questions or need assistance completing the form

Please don’t let uncertainty or financial stress keep your child from participating in sports. We truly want to help keep kids in the game and create opportunities for every child to play, grow, and belong. 💛
