Tipi Moza - Iron Homes

Tipi Moza - Iron Homes "As a Canadian registered charity, Tipi Moza (Iron Homes) provides urban Indigenous supportive housing in the Kingston area."

Come on down to 113 Lower Union St. and check out Tipi Moza’s new look for spring 2026!

Our gardens are planted, our tipi is painted (with more décor to come), our yard is raked, and we’re ready for visitors!
And after delighting in the view, you can join us for a traditional feast of elk sausages in the kitchen. In Indigenous cultures, the feast is much more than food; it’s the people hanging out and enjoying each other’s company.

We’ll start dishing up at 11:30 and continue until everyone has been served.

Cultural teachings and crafts to follow for those who are interested.
Be part of the in-crowd on Tuesday, June 16.

Please email Priscila and let her know you’re coming. We want to be sure we have enough food for everyone. ([email protected])

Tipi Moza residents and staff welcomed energetic, enthusiastic, and hard-working community volunteers from Providence Care and KCCU on Friday, June 5 for a wonderful morning of painting, cleaning, and planting, followed by a delicious feast of bison stew! We wish to thank the United Way and the City of Kingston - and of course, the volunteers - for providing us with this amazing opportunity. We love our new look!

June is Indigenous Peoples' Month! Celebrate our ancestry and story at every opportunity!
And our first Indigenous governor-general, Inuk Mary May Simon leaves the position this week. What an awesome job she did! Such a multi-talented woman who performed her tasks with dignity and pride of ancestry. She will be missed.
