All groups run 1pm-3pm.

-October 29th we will be making Gluten Free Pumpkin spiced Muffins
-November 5th we will be making holiday cards
-November 26th we will be making Hummus and veggie wraps
- December 10th we will be making a Rice and Bean bake

All recipes are budget friendly and all supplies for our cooking workshops and art workshops are provided by ILCK. All of our workshops are free.

Treat Accessibly Kingston's 3rd Halloween Village!

Presented by the Jessica Hellard Real Estate Group, this one-of-a-kind, inclusive and fully accessible Halloween experience invites kids—and the young at heart— of all abilities to enjoy barrier-free trick-or-treating in a safe and welcoming environment.

Together with over 30 supportive homeowners and local community businesses, we are transforming the neighbourhood into a magical, barrier-free Halloween Village featuring:

👻 Decorated homes and accessible trick-or-treating
🍬 Edible and non-edible treats
🎭 Costume contests and prizes
🎶 Music, games, and costumed entertainers

On October 30, 2026 ILCK will be attending the Older Adults Community Fair.

Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (lunch at 12:00 pm)
Location: Rideau Heights Community Centre, 85 Maccauley Street, Kingston

There will be around 30 community booths, two presentations, along with a free lunch.

Independent Living Centre Kingston will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

September 30 is a day to recognize the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools and to honour Survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities.

Regular hours and services will resume on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Two of our ILCK staff members, Kayla and Morgan, had the pleasure of attending the United Way KFL&A Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast this morning!

It was a great morning spent c***ecting with community partners, hearing about the work happening across our region, and learning more about this year’s campaign.

The goal for this fall is an incredible $4,250,000! 🎉

We’re grateful for the work United Way KFL&A does in our community and the many ways they help support people and strengthen local communities. We’re proud to be part of the campaign and look forward to doing our part to help reach this year’s goal.
