Kamloops has voted, and we have a new mayor and council!
First, congratulations to everyone elected in the 2026 municipal election, and thank you to all the candidates who put their names forward.
As a Business Improvement Association, much of our work involves collaborating with the City of Kamloops on issues that directly affect our local businesses and neighbourhoods.
That’s why remaining non-partisan is so important to us. Regardless of who’s elected, our commitment stays the same: advocating for and supporting the businesses and communities of Valleyview, Dallas, Campbell Creek and Kelly Douglas Road.
We’d also like to thank our outgoing mayor and council for their service and collaboration over the past four years. We look forward to working with our newly elected representatives to continue making East Kamloops a great place to do business.
And to everyone who took the time to vote, thank you! 🗳️
Voter turnout increased from approximately 29% in 2022 to 35.49% this year. That’s progress, and we’d love to see even more Kamloops residents participate in the next election.
Here’s to the next four years, Kamloops!
