Yes, Canada is a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), having played a crucial role in its establishment by ratifying the Rome Statute and becoming a State Party in 2000, actively supporting the court's mission to prosecute war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity. Canada was the 14th nation to sign the Statute and has continued to support the ICC through legislation and political statements, despite some shifts in its level of active involvement

The International Criminal Court (ICC) investigates and, where warranted, tries individuals charged with the gravest crimes of concern to the international community: genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the crime of aggression.
