CJ is a handsome 3-year-old boy looking for his new home!
✨ About CJ:

💉 Vaccinations up to date
🩺 Healthy
🎾 Loves fetch, toys and playing outside
🧠 Smart, trained and knows his basic commands
❤️ Extremely loyal, affectionate and eager to please
🛏️ Loves cuddling and being close to his people
🐕 With other dogs:
CJ has done very well at kennels and has successfully been around dogs of all sizes. He reads other dogs' signals well. However, he isn't a good match for very timid or submissive dogs, as he can become overly dominant with them.
🎓 Training:
CJ already has a good training foundation. His biggest area for continued work is reactivity more centered towards men. When unfamiliar people or dogs approach his person, CJ may bark, become vocal or pull toward them. He needs to do some work on leash walking and knowing that he has a leader by his side.
He needs someone who will continue teaching him that he doesn't need to protect or manage situations for his person. He has already been working on this and has shown improvement.
🏡 CJ'S IDEAL HOME:
CJ would do best with a confident, experienced dog owner who understands reactive behaviour and is comfortable providing clear boundaries, consistency and continued training.
He needs someone who will encourage good choices and who can calmly advocate for him when he's uncomfortable.
CJ may be able to live with another confident, well-matched dog, but a timid or highly submissive dog would not be the right fit.
Most importantly, CJ needs someone who wants a dog that will be deeply bonded to them. He's an incredibly affectionate, loyal boy who loves playing fetch, going on adventures and then curling up beside his person.
