Friendship Friday: A Little Thanks, A Lot of Heart!

Today, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Len Auger for his 12 years of service on the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre Board of Directors.

Through his leadership, volunteer work, and contributions as an Elder, Len has generously shared his time, knowledge, and care with the Centre.

Thank you, Len, for your years of commitment and the lasting difference you have made. While your role on the Board has come to a close, you remain a valued part of our Friendship Centre family.

MEET OUR NEW FEATURE ARTIST!!

We are excited to introduce Hannah Donald, our newest Feature Artist at Mikis Art Shoppe!

Hannah creates beautiful beaded earrings and handmade jewelry, incorporating vibrant colours, sparkle, gold, and natural elements into her unique designs.

Hannah began beading after receiving knowledge and teachings from an Elder. What started as learning a creative skill became a meaningful way for her to reconnect with her culture while expressing her creativity through her art.

Her pieces beautifully blend Indigenous artistry with modern fashion, creating jewelry that is both meaningful and unique.

The annual Sisters in Spirit Walk will be held this Sunday, starting at the Spirit Sisters Rock at NWP and ending at the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre. The event honours the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2-spirit people.
