Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Open House and 61st Annual General Meeting. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our community, share the work of the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre, and celebrate another meaningful year together.

A very special congratulations to Lois Duke on her dedicated service as President, and to Board Members Lynn Caudron and Leona Lanti for their incredible 30 years of service! What an amazing milestone and a true reflection of their unwavering commitment, leadership, and dedication to the Centre and our community.

At GPFC, we believe it is important to recognize and thank our staff and Board members for their hard work, dedication, and years of service. When people feel appreciated, they feel valued and that helps build a strong, connected team. Our AGM is not only a time to reflect on the past year, but also a wonderful evening of recognition and celebration.

On September 30, we will walk, run and be together. 🧡

This day is about more than wearing orange. It is a day to honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, acknowledge the ongoing impacts of residential schools, and continue the work of Truth and Reconciliation.

Every step is an opportunity to remember, to learn, and to move forward together.

Orange shirts will be available to purchase and they are $30 and unique medals will be available for $10 for participants.

🧡 CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2026 ORANGE SHIRT DAY DESIGN CONTEST WINNER! 🧡

The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is excited to announce Tori Letendre as the winner of our 2026 Orange Shirt Day Design Contest!

Tori’s beautiful artwork will be featured on this year’s Orange Shirt Day shirts and the medals for our 6th Annual Orange Shirt Day 5 km Walk/Run.

Thank you to every talented youth who submitted artwork and shared their creativity with us. We were honoured to receive so many beautiful and meaningful designs.

Shirts featuring Tori’s winning design will be available for purchase at our Open House on September 3, 2026 from11:00 am –3:00 pm at the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre, 10513-98 Avenue.
