Our Natawihowin Program is hosting a Men’s Health Fair this Friday, June 26 at Kikinaw Outreach.

This is a great opportunity for men in our community to connect with local health and wellness resources, learn about available supports, and take positive steps toward their well-being in a welcoming and culturally supportive environment.

We encourage everyone to help spread the word and invite the men in your life to attend. We hope to see you there!

Reminder that Friday we wear blue for Men's health month. Join us at our Kikinaw Outreach Program GPFC location from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM for our Men's Health Fair. We have speakers and interactive activities through out the the event.

Thank you to Mayor Jackie Clayton and Councillor & GPFC Board Member Len Auger for joining us at our National Indigenous Peoples Day Pipe Ceremony. It was a beautiful morning shared in ceremony, reflection, and community.

Thank You, Grande Prairie Airport!

The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Grande Prairie Airport for partnering with us to showcase Indigenous culture and history through the beautiful display located at the baggage claim area.

This display offers visitors and community members an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of the Indigenous Peoples of Treaty 8 Territory. We are proud to work together to create welcoming spaces that honour the original peoples of this land and share the stories that make our region so unique.

A heartfelt thank you to Elder Loretta for sharing her words and opening in a good way, Deputy Mayor Mike and GPFC President Lois for their remarks and support, and Monique and the traditional dancers for bringing culture to life through their beautiful performances. Your presence helped make this celebration truly meaningful.

Thank you to the Grande Prairie Airport for your commitment to reconciliation and for helping us celebrate and promote Indigenous culture for all who travel through our community.
