Edmonton Adult Flag Football League

The Edmonton Adult Flag Football League (EAFFL) is a premier 5v5 women’s and men’s flag football league built for athletes who want a high-level, professionally run experience.

EAFFL delivers a high-quality league environment from start to finish. All games are played on premium turf fields, providing a fast, consistent playing surface that elevates the level of competition and athlete safety. Our league experience goes beyond the field with professional-grade media coverage, capturing the intensity, highlights, and personalities that make our community special

We welcome full teams ready to compete together, as well as individual free agents looking to join a roster and become part of the EAFFL community.

At EAFFL, we’re building more than a league — we’re building a standard for adult flag football in Edmonton!

Here are the Weekly Top-10 Rankings for all five levels of high school football in Alberta for the 2026 season. These rankings will come out every Sunday (except for Labor Day halftime) from now up until November 9. At that time those will be the last rankings and teams will take this rank into Provincials

The 12-a-side teams are slotted into their levels based on their estimated school size by School Sport Alberta while the 9 and 6-a-side are one level only. Some re-sorting of 12-a-side levels will take place after the final official population numbers are recorded at the end of September. Please note that games vs. US opponents, scrimmages, or tournaments are not taken into consideration for ranking or listed in the overall record of the schools.

Should you have any questions about the rankings or listed teams please contact Football Alberta at (780)427-8108 or check out our website at www.footballalberta.ab.ca.

- 3A Game of the Week -

#2 St. Paul Lions (4-0)
vs
#1 Holy Rosary Raiders (6-0)

⏰6:30 PM - *Recently changed

🗓️Friday, Oct, 16th

📍Canadian Natural Resources field (Lloydminster, AB)

This game is a hidden gem on the calendar each year. Arguably the best small town football rivalry in Alberta, if not Canada. It truly is an intense game whenever these two meet and made extra special this year by their lofty rankings. Both are undefeated and both have been winning their games by a significant margin. Something has to give this Friday in Lloydminster and it could be a precursor to the Wheatland League Championship Game in a couple weeks that will most likely determine which of these powerhouses advances to Provincials.

- 5A Game of the Week -

#5 Notre Dame Pride
vs
#6 St. Francis Browns

⏰7:30 PM

🗓️Friday, October 9th

📍Hellard Field at Shouldice Athletic Park (Calgary)

The annual bout between these two northwest Calgary powerhouses moves to Hellard Field in Calgary rather than its traditional home at McMahon Stadium. This will mean a more controlled venue but limited seating. So limited in fact that you can only buy tickets in advance.

Either way it always delivers as one of Canada's top high school events each year. Calgary is a hard read this year. Of the exhibition games played by their top 5A teams only Ernest Manning's victory over Notre Dame (RD) on August 29th stands as the only victory. St. Francis has lost twice outside their league. Close games but losses nonetheless. And Notre Dame (CAL) got blown out in their only venture outside league games. Still, these are good programs and Calgary Division I remains arguably the toughest loop in Canada so this will be a good sample for who might be worthy of advancing to the 5A Provincials at the end of the season.
