Tennis in the north 👆👆

Part of our strategic plan is to increase participation and retention in underserved regions, and we're making strides in the Wood Buffalo region!

Supported by Tennis Canada's Game.Set.Equity. grant and the "She Leads the Way" initiative, coaches Amelie Savage and Preston Codrington—alongside local leaders—are bringing the sport to more girls and women in one of Alberta's northernmost regions.

Wood Buffalo recently hosted a massive Girls with Grit Sport Summit for 150 girls, alongside a Friday night Women's Sports Try Tennis event. Amelie and Preston led both sessions while providing on-court mentorship to help train local coaches.

This is just the beginning of our work in the region, and we're excited to update you as these programs progress!

More. To. Come.
