Over spring break took us on an awesome behind-the-scenes tour! 📻 📽
A parent shared this heartfelt reflection of their experience:
"Today, I took my six-year-old daughter to visit the CBC Edmonton studio, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for both of us.
During the visit, we had the chance to see the radio studio, TV studio, control room, and the main workspace. With the guidance of the staff, we learned how audio is edited and how news anchors use teleprompters to read and deliver the news. It was fascinating and eye-opening.
For my daughter, this experience meant so much. She listened very carefully, eagerly raised her hand to answer questions, and actively participated throughout the visit. I felt so proud of her. Her curiosity was fully sparked and satisfied today.
As a newcomer family still settling into life in Canada, this experience was especially meaningful. Since we arrived when she was two years old, we have not even had a TV at home, and she has had very little exposure to this kind of environment. Today was truly a big and special day for her—she discovered something completely new.
Although the visit lasted only one hour, it is something she will remember for a long time. Thank you again for making this possible for us. We truly appreciate your kindness and support."
