🇵🇸 Help Us Build a Stronger Palestinian Community in Edmonton

The Canada Palestine Cultural Association (CPCA) is conducting a Palestinian Community Census & Anti-Palestinian Racism Survey to better understand the size, demographics, experiences, and needs of our community.

Your participation will help us:
✅ Advocate more effectively for our community
✅ Document experiences of anti-Palestinian racism
✅ Plan youth, seniors, cultural, educational, and community programs
✅ Strengthen funding applications and community services
✅ Ensure Palestinian voices are represented and heard

The survey is confidential, and results will only be reported in aggregate form.

We encourage every Palestinian household in Edmonton and the surrounding region to complete the survey and share it with family and friends.

‼️Community Update‼️. Palestinian and Muslim community representatives met directly with Chief Warren Driechel to convey our anger, our hurt, and our concerns clearly and without compromise. We made it known that this trip has damaged trust, not just with Palestinian Canadians, but with many local communities concerned about the human rights implications of Israeli policing approaches and the potential for those practices to be used against Edmontonians.

For many in our community, this is not abstract. Palestinians have lived and continue to live under systems of oppression, violence, dehumanization, and displacement. Those realities were brought into that room.

Our key asks were clear:

• A public acknowledgment that this trip harmed trust and a commitment that no policing practices from it will be adopted in Edmonton
• Full transparency through a public report on the trip, including who attended, why, and what was learned
• Formal recognition of anti-Palestinian racism and concrete steps to address it
• A dedicated Palestinian community liaison within EPS
• Ongoing, structured engagement, including quarterly meetings and direct outreach to community spaces

We will continue to push firmly and unapologetically for accountability and transparency.
