On March 7, our KDM Helping Hands team was proud to sponsor a table and take part in the annual “St. Albert Fights Hunger” event hosted by the Rotary Club of St. Albert.

This incredible initiative brings the community together with one powerful goal—packaging over 70,000 meals in a single day to support families both locally and around the world. Being part of such a meaningful effort, surrounded by people committed to making a difference, was truly inspiring.

We had an amazing time giving back, connecting with others, and helping package meals for those in need. 💙

Our hearts are so full this Easter 🐣💛

On Friday, March 27, KDM Helping Hands had the joy of delivering Easter hampers to five wonderful families at Norwood Elementary. Each hamper was filled right to the brim with everything needed to create a warm, beautiful Easter dinner 🥕🍞🥚

It’s the little things, sharing meals, creating moments and spreading kindness that make this season so special. We’re so grateful to be a small part of these celebrations 💐

📚✨ On February 12th, KDM Helping Hands hosted a special book fair at Norwood Elementary School!

Every single student was invited to choose a book to take home and keep — because we believe every child deserves to build their own library and fall in love with reading. 💙

There’s nothing more powerful than putting a book into a child’s hands. By fostering education and encouraging a lifelong love of reading, we’re helping open doors to brighter futures — one page at a time. 📖🌟

Last week, KDM Helping Hands was honoured to deliver holiday hampers to local families in need 🤍

Each hamper included a full holiday meal — complete with turkey, stuffing, buns, and all the essentials needed to enjoy a festive dinner — along with additional household necessities and holiday goodies to help make the season a little brighter.

🎄 2 hampers were delivered to Norwood School
🎄 3 hampers were delivered to Katherine Therrien School

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped ensure these hampers reached families safely, especially with winter weather making deliveries extra challenging.

Moments like these remind us of the power of community and the true spirit of the holidays.

Earlier this month, KDM Helping Hands was proud to deliver a generous supply of brand-new winter gear to a local school in St. Albert to help students in need stay warm during the colder winter months ❄️💙

The delivery included snow suits, toques, mittens, and boots—ensuring many children had the proper gear to head outside comfortably and confidently this season.

We’re grateful to be able to support our community in such a meaningful way and help spread warmth where it’s needed most.

Were grateful to share that this initiative was made possible through a grant we received from the St. Albert Sturgeon Community Foundation.

Last week, KDM Helping Hands hosted our 14th Annual Christmas for Kids—and what an incredible day it was! This year, we had the joy of visiting Norwood Public School, and the energy and smiles were unforgettable.
The kids enjoyed a visit from Santa and Christina the Elf, Happy Meals, and each child went home with a gift filled to the brim with essentials, toys, and educational items!
A huge thank you to Onside Restoration Services Ltd for transporting the gifts, staying for the event, and volunteering their time—we couldn’t have done it without you.
And thank you to our amazing committee members whose dedication and hard work make this event possible year after year.
What a beautiful way to wrap up a fun-filled few weeks already 🎄✨
