YODA
Is in a PV Foster & Looking for a Loving FurEver Home
~ A LITTLE PUPPY, A BIG SECOND CHANCE
Giovanni and Rachael were sitting at a corner restaurant when they saw a puppy running back and forth at a busy junction, with no one in sight; they watch and hoped someone would come for her… but no one ever did. After an hour, it was clear she was alone, and she needed help. They brought her to safety and quickly realized she hadn’t been on the streets for long. She wasn’t severely underweight and had no visible injuries, but she had been neglected, covered in ticks and fleas, and left to fend for herself far too soon. She was taken to the vet for a check up and during her first months with them, the puppy faced a few health challenges, including a urinary tract infection and periods of low immunity that required treatment and regular vet visits. Through it all, she showed nothing but resilience, sweetness, and trust. Today she is healthy, safe, and full of life.
Yoda is about 1.5 years old, weighs around 20 kilos, and is a cute Belgian shepherd mix.
Today, Yoda is a fun, active girl with a sensitive side, which makes her special. She loves to play, explore, and stay busy, but she also forms deep bonds with her adult humans and becomes a truly devoted, affectionate companion. She can be a little shy when meeting new people or in busy environments, often taking a moment to observe and feel safe before opening up, but with patience and kindness, her sweet and loving personality shines through. Once she trusts you, she will stick close by your side and shower you with affection. Yoda has been socializing regularly with other dogs at daycare, where she does very well, although she prefers calm introductions and tends to observe before jumping into play. She has also lived with dogs and a cat, learning to coexist peacefully and respectfully. She is an energetic dog who thrives with daily exercise, walks, and space to run, but she also enjoys relaxing at home with her favorite toys and cuddling with her humans. She walks nicely on leash once she settles, though she may pull a bit at the start or when feeling overwhelmed, especially in crowded areas where she prefers quieter surroundings. Yoda is comfortable around everyday noises like fireworks and traffic, though she can be slightly sensitive to larger vehicles or storms, often taking cues from the dogs around her. She is curious and enjoys exploring off-leash in safe areas, always staying close and checking back in. She would do best in a calm, loving home with a patient adopter who understands her sensitive nature, ideally with access to a secure outdoor space where she can run and play. She could thrive as an only dog receiving undivided attention, or with calm, well-balanced companions.
Yoda’s adoption fee is $550 and includes her flight, spay, vaccinations, and full veterinary care until the flight time. If you’re ready to welcome Yoda into your family, apply here: https://form.jotform.com/250991010499258. For questions or more information, please email [email protected]
