Last month, CVBS assisted 780 families with food hampers, helping more than 1,600 individuals in the Cowichan Valley. We also serve about 200 lunches each day to neighbours who need a meal, care, and a safe place to come.

Behind every number is a neighbour — a senior, a parent, a child, someone working hard, or someone going through a difficult season.

Your gift today helps provide groceries, fresh produce, daily meals, dignity, and care for individuals and families who need support.

CVBS is looking for more wonderful volunteers to join our team.

A few hours of your time can make a real difference for neighbours facing food insecurity in the Cowichan Valley. Whether you enjoy serving coffee and lunch, packing hampers, sorting food, helping in the warehouse, or welcoming guests, there is a place for you at CVBS.

Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back, meet great people, and help make sure everyone who comes through our doors is treated with dignity, kindness, and care.

Food banks throughout Vancouver Island are struggling to keep up with rising demand. To help, we’re inviting you to join us in supporting our neighbours. You can donate $2, $5, $10, or any amount right at the tills, and your gift will go directly toward providing food and essentials to those who need them most.
Every donation matters — no matter the size — and it all stays within our local communities. The need is growing, but so can our impact.
Let your cashier know how much you’d like to contribute, and together we’ll make sure no one goes hungry. Thank you for your continued generosity. ❤️
