We’re excited to be just a little bit involved in Satinflower nurseries awesome Meadow Makers program this year! Check it out!

🌿 Turn your lawn into a native meadow 🌿

Have you ever wondered how to transform part of your lawn, boulevard, or open yard space into native plant habitat?

This beautiful meadow was created by MeadowMaker Lisa Cross.

MeadowMakers is a step-by-step program that guides participants through the process of creating meadow habitat using native plants of southern Vancouver Island.

Over the course of the program you will learn:

🌱 Lawn-to-meadow restoration techniques
🌱 Native plant identification
🌱 Bee and pollinator identification
🌱 Garry oak ecosystem ecology
🌱 Native plant propagation and meadow establishment

Participants learn through workshops, field trips, and an online classroom, and become part of a supportive group of people creating habitat across our region.

✨ Field trips to restoration sites
✨ Guest speakers and local experts
✨ Hands-on learning opportunities

Participants also receive 10% plants at Satinflower Nurseries throughout 2026!
