Volunteer Cowichan Volunteerism is the heart of life in the Cowichan Valley! Volunteer Cowichan is a registered charity. We issue tax receipts for your donations.

Volunteer Cowichan promotes, mobilizes and celebrates volunteers as the heart of our thriving community. Volunteer Services:

We recruit, interview and place volunteers with agencies in the Cowichan Valley and surrounding areas through our Volunteer Referral Program. We promote Volunteerism by organizing recognition events during National Volunteer Week. We offer training and consultation to volunteer organizations. Community Resources:

We offer assistance to older adults who are trying to remain independent. We provide services like: Grocery shopping, friendly (non-medical) visits, housekeeping, and assistance with active living in the community. Volunteers are needed for friendly, non-medical visits, grocery shopping and delivery, and to escort seniors on outings and to events in the community.

📖✨ What a wonderful afternoon of stories, laughter, and connection!

Yesterday's first-ever Intergenerational Show & Tell at the Cowichan Library brought together community members of all ages to share meaningful items, memories, hobbies, travel adventures, and Halloween stories through the decades.

With participants ranging from young adults to older adults, the conversations showed that while our experiences may be different, great stories have a way of bringing us together.

A special thank you to our volunteer hosts Heather Jacques and Julia Clare, and to Our Cowichan and the VI Regional Library Cowichan for helping make this event possible.

We're already looking forward to our next Show & Tell in November! 💙

We're inviting older adults to bring a meaningful item and join us for an afternoon of storytelling, memories, and connection at the Cowichan Library this Thursday, October 1 from 3-4 PM.

From travel adventures and favourite hobbies to Halloween memories through the decades, we'll share stories, spark conversations, and build connections across generations. 🧳🎃🎨
