The Encore Women’s Choir is proud to present "Our Backyard", a special concert celebrating the incredible work of female Canadian composers. We are thrilled to be joined by the guest choir Island Bel Canto Singers of Nanaimo for this one-night-only event.

Experience the harmony of our local talent directed by Michelle Weckesser and Fiona Blackburn. We can't wait to see you there!

Our concert tomorrow, is now SOLD OUT!!. That said, if you don’t have tickets and are willing to take your chances, we often have no shows, so we will allow folks in at the last minute, if there is space, but only if there is space!

Encore! Women’s Choir presents their winter concert, Snowlight, Sunday, December 10 at 2:00pm at the Duncan United Church.
Led by Director Michelle Weckesser and accompanied by pianist Eve Daniell, the choir offers a wide-ranging seasonal program, with songs spanning Ola Gjeilo’s “Gloria,” with its two-piano accompaniment, to Ysaye Barnwell’s a ca****la setting of Kahlil Gibran’s “On Children.” The title song, “Snowlight,” by resident composer Deborah Sumner, sets the mood for our melodic collection of winter songs.
