Cowichan Cat Rescue Cow Cat Rescue is a Federally registered charity working to improve life for feral and unowned cats of the Cowichan Valley . We are a 100% volunteer group.

APPLYING TO ADOPT ? PLEASE READ AND FULLY COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM BEFORE SIGNING /SENDING ,THE CONDITIONS ON THE FORM ARE NONNEGOTIABLE . We host weekly kitten meet-and-greets in Duncan , by appointment only . Our adoption fee is $300. Prior to going up for adoption, all of our kittens and cats have been spayed or neutered, tattooed, vaccinated (usually first shots only will require booste

rs), treated for parasites, and health checked. In the interest of safety we don't adopt very young kittens out to families with children under five years of age , if kids are under 5 then kitten must be at least 5 months old. CCR does a virtual home visit prior to adoption approval. Please note if you have an Apple or Android phone on your application and when best time is for virtual home visit. Indoor homes are the standard.If you have sliding glass doors in your home screens are strongly recommended . This is Benson, a victim of a sad misunderstanding. He was judged pretty harshly for his survival behaviors ( which were admittedly pretty awful) and his true nature was not known until he was caught and given regular food and shelter. Benson is the most loving friendly kind big boy you will ever meet. He really needs a home of his own where his sweet purrsonality can blossom. Let us know if you want to meet this boy

We have an amazing collection of adult cats in our care including some lovely senior ones -- seniors for seniors? -- and one very sweet ancient girl (20?) who needs a loving place for her last little time on earth.
