Reminder: Send us your Smooth Greensnake observations! 🐍🐍🐍

If you are out & about in September-October, and happen to see a Smooth Greensnake, we would love to hear about it! Take a photo and a GPS point (or make a note of the location), and send your observation to us.

You can also upload your observation to iNaturalist.

The Smooth Greensnake is PEI’s rarest reptile, and this summer-fall we are doing targeted monitoring for the species.

🤔Did you know?

Municipalities across PEI can now access support to develop community wildfire resiliency plans, which help the community identify risks and improve emergency preparedness. 🔥

The government of PEI is providing this help to municipalities through the Community Wildfire Prevention and Mitigations Program. Once a plan has been completed, municipalities may also be eligible for funding to help implement wildfire prevention and mitigation projects within their communities.
