Our team is hosting lots of events and hope you will join us next week as we proudly wear purple.
If you notice places around your cities or communities with purple lights you will be seeing their support for people with disabilities.

Let’s turn PEI purple!!

This Disability Employment Awareness Month, we're inviting businesses, organizations, and community members across PEI to show their support for inclusive employment by participating in our Power in Purple Challenge on October 15th!

Wear purple, take a photo, and help us raise awareness about the importance of creating accessible and inclusive employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Let's come together to celebrate diversity, challenge barriers, and show the power of inclusion in our workplaces and communities. 💜

Today, our offices are closed as we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

Today is a day to listen, learn, reflect, and remember that reconciliation is an ongoing responsibility we all share.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

Summerside Office – Closed Today

Out of an abundance of caution, our Summerside office will be closed today due to smoke in the area.

The health and well-being of our staff and clients is always important to us, and we feel that closing the office for the day is the best precaution while conditions are being monitored.

Our other ResourceAbilities offices remain open, and our team continues to be available by phone and email for anyone requiring assistance.

We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone in the affected area to take care and follow any guidance provided by local officials.

Our Summerside location is closed today as we are moving!! 🎉

We will re-open at our new location, 11 Water Street, tomorrow at 8 AM!

To avoid confusion, please note that the outdoor signage still says CBDC. We will get that changed ASAP!

As summer comes to a close, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to the incredible summer staff who made our 2026 SEAM and Summer Tutoring Programs such a success! ☀️💙

Both of these programs provide valuable opportunities and supports to students across PEI, and they simply wouldn’t be possible without the energy, enthusiasm and dedication of the amazing people pictured here.

Throughout the summer, our staff built connections, encouraged confidence, supported learning and helped create positive experiences for so many Island students. We are incredibly grateful for everything they brought to ResourceAbilities this summer.

To our 2026 SEAM and Summer Tutoring teams — thank you for choosing to spend your summer with us and for making a difference in the lives of students across PEI!! We hope you are as proud of the work you accomplished as we are of you. 💙

We know the cost of having medical forms completed can be a barrier for our clients, glad to see our advocacy along with peers across the country has made a difference!

Having forms filled out by our experienced staff at ResourceAbilities always was and always will be free, this supplement will help with the portion that requires medical practitioners to complete.

Reach out to us anytime for assistance with applications for Canada Disability Benefit, CPP-Disability, Disability Tax Credit or any other Federal or Provincial program for persons with disabilities. We have knowledgeable staff across PEI available to help!

Starting in fall 2026, eligible recipients of the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB) will receive a one-time supplemental payment of $150 to help offset the cost of obtaining the Disability Tax Credit.

Previously received the Canada Disability Benefit? You may still qualify for this supplemental payment, even if you no longer receive the benefit.

The Canada Disability Benefit provides direct financial support to people with disabilities who are between 18 and 64 years old.

Behind every milestone, program, and meaningful moment is this incredible crew. ✨

Taking some well-deserved time on the water to celebrate the heart and soul of everything we do: our team. Couldn’t ask for a better group to share a boat (or a workday) with.

The work we do wouldn’t be half as fun or meaningful without these faces making every single day easier, louder, and a whole lot brighter. So lucky to work with people who genuinely care this much. We couldn't do it without each and every one of you!
