Submissions for our first round of funding for 2026/2027 close on June 30th at 11:59PM! This includes applications for Commercial Recordings, Marketing Support, Tour Support, and Music Business Development, as well as Market Access Funding, and our Microgrant Program.

We will be awarding 13 grants in this round of funding;
(6) Artist Level I for up to $2000
(5) Artist Level II for up to $3500
(2) Artist Level III for up to $8000

Apply now for Come Together - Canada's Artist Showcase & Music Industry Development Initiative!

Come Together is an opportunity for artists from across Canada to meet with, build business relationships, and showcase for key music industry professionals from Toronto and surrounding areas (including labels, agents, managers, publishers, music supervisors, publicists, and more). Participants will work directly with their music industry association to identify key music business contacts to invite and meet with.

*** Artists must be available to attend both days of programming & showcasing in Toronto, ON:
November 24th & 25th, 2026. ***

Welcome to the Music PEI team, Kendra Lyttle!

Kendra will be working as our Member Programs & Community Resource Assistant this summer, building a comprehensive Community Resources section on Music PEI's website.

BIO:
Kendra Lyttle is a lifelong performer & rising singer-songwriter known for connecting with audiences through her vulnerable storytelling and heartfelt vocals. She is a graduate of Holland College’s SoPA Music Performance program, where she aided in the startup of SoPA SONIC RECORDS, the school’s student record label. A current student at Humber Polytechnic’s (formerly Humber College) renown Bachelor of Music program, she is excited to bring her experience in the music industry to her work as Member Programs & Community Resources Assistant at Music PEI this summer.

Nominations open Monday, June 15, 2026 and close Friday, July 5, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Atlantic Time).

As the organization enters a new chapter under recently appointed leadership, we are looking for thoughtful, engaged individuals who understand the responsibilities and time commitment of serving on a governance board. If you believe your skills, experience, and perspective can support the continued growth and sustainability of Music PEI, we encourage you to submit a nomination.

We strongly encourage individuals from historically underrepresented and equity-deserving communities to apply. Music PEI members are encouraged to nominate individuals they believe would be strong candidates for the Board. Self-nominations are welcome.

To be elected/appointed, candidates must:
- Be a Music PEI member in good standing
(membership can be obtained after confirmation)
- Support the mission, vision, and work of Music PEI
- Understand and accept the fiduciary responsibilities of board service
- Have a clear understanding of the role of a board member
- Be familiar with the organization’s Bylaws & Strategic Plan

We're working on a new project to help connect PEI's music community by building a comprehensive Community Resources section on Music PEI's website!

Looking to hire musicians? Wondering how to break into the bar circuit? Trying to figure out what festivals, venues, and opportunities exist across PEI? Looking for work as a producer, engineer, or session musician? We want to create a hub that makes it easier to find the people, opportunities, and resources that help our music community thrive.

We're currently gathering information from the community and would love your help. Submitted resources will be compiled and made publicly available on the Music PEI website by the end of the summer.

We're looking to include resources such as:

• Gigging opportunities
