We were pleased to join municipal administrators from across PEI at the recent Association of Municipal Administrators of PEI (AMAPEI) AGM and Professional Development Day in the Rural Municipality of Hunter River.

Our executive director, Satya Sen, shared updates on our shared services programs to support municipalities across the Island.

Thank you to AMAPEI for organizing such a valuable day of learning and connection — and congratulations to the new executive!

We had a fantastic day celebrating Fostering Resilience in Women Municipal Leaders!

During the final workshop, the group learned more about communications, took a sneak peek at a resource on navigating boundaries, and reflected on the knowledge and friendships built over the past three years.

Thank you to the PEI Coalition for Women's Leadership for delivering the program, the PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being for its funding support, and all of the women who took part and helped make the program so meaningful.

While this program has come to an end, we’ll be exploring more ways to continue the learning and connection.

Congratulations to Donna Waddell, former CAO with the City of Charlottetown, PE. She's this year's recipient of our Bruce H. Yeo Award for outstanding contributions to municipal government!

Waddell says municipal work can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding. “You can see a project through from start to finish — whether you are constructing a building or starting a transit system."
