Since 2023, Samaritan’s Purse has been actively providing life-saving aid to innocent civilians affected by the war in both Israel and Gaza. Nearly 2 million people are hurting and in need of hope and relief. Our teams are working through partners to deliver food, clean water, shelter materials, and other critical supplies to families in need within Palestinian territories while also providing medical aid, trauma kits, and emergency food to Israeli families in need.

Since July, we’ve sent 12 relief flights with over 200 tons of ready-to-use supplemental nutrition pouches. First aid teams also set up at each food distribution with equipment and medicine. Our teams are treating infections, injuries, chronic diseases, and more, and have treated over 1,400 patients.

Our teams have been building two Ebola Treatment Centers in the northeastern region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which is the epicenter of the outbreak. One is in Bunia, and one is located in Nyankunde. These 40-bed facilities open today.

June 20 is World Refugee Day. Globally, over 117 million people have been forcibly displaced due to conflict, persecution, or violence.

This photo was sent to us by the Lebanese Minister of Social Affairs, who thanked Samaritan's Purse for our help. Over 1.2 million people have fled their homes in southern Lebanon and moved north.

In response, Samaritan’s Purse has airlifted emergency relief, including tents, solar lights, blankets, kitchen kits, hygiene kits, and more. We’ve also delivered supplies for local clinics and hospitals to help thousands more. We are working through local churches, and all of our assistance is given in Jesus’ Name. Please pray for these hurting families.

As devastating floods have damaged homes and threatened lives in Manitoba, Samaritan’s Purse Canada disaster relief specialists are on their way to provide relief for hurting residents. Our teams will equip and lead volunteers from across Canada to assist homeowners with emergency clean-up.

Today marks the beginning of the FIFA World Cup, and Samaritan’s Purse Canada has been invited by the Province of British Columbia and Vancouver Emergency Support Services to provide assistance for a different, vital role: emergency preparedness.

As Vancouver will host seven FIFA World Cup events, Samaritan’s Purse Canada has established a Mass Care site.

Local church members play a key role in installing water filters, providing hygiene training, maintaining filters, and ensuring long-term success. Samaritan’s Purse has been working in Sudan amid the civil war since April 2024.

Last year, our teams distributed over 15,000 metric tons of food and more than 660 tons of malnutrition-fighting peanut paste to help families survive famine.

To help bring further relief and hope into this dire situation, Samaritan’s Purse airlifted an Emergency Field Hospital and staff members to Gedaref, Sudan, in mid-December 2024.

Samaritan’s Purse is also supporting Katcha Hospital in Sudan with medicines, vaccinations, supplies, tools, and professional staffing. The hospital has treated over 72,000 patients since we arrived, and over 800,000 people are relying on the pharmacy for medication.
