Last week, Scout and Tom visited the SAIT Campus – Art Smith Aero Centre for Training and Technology to showcase the Silver Dart handling collection program.

They were able to showcase artifacts from Canada’s aviation history with the students. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our country’s aviation heritage to life and share it with the next generation of aviation enthusiasts!

🎃🦇Fly Babies: Witches, Pumpkins, and Bats, Oh My! 👻✨
Join us October 29 at 9:30 AM for a spooktacular Fly Babies adventure! Little witches, bats, and ghouls will search around the planes for hidden pumpkins, create their very own Jack-O-Lantern craft, and discover what powers a witch’s broom during story time.
Costumes are highly encouraged! This fun-filled program is geared toward ages 2–5, but all ages are welcome.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Your ticket includes Museum admission for the day, so stick around and explore the exhibits after the program.

Hello! My name is Moses. I am a new team member at The Hangar Flight Museum as a Visitor Experience and Event Support Assistant. My job is to ensure everyone who visits the museum has a memorable and great experience at the museum, from first greeting them at the front desk to helping others in the wonderful and elaborate events hosted by the museum.
As a current student at the University of Calgary, I am a History major with a minor in Museum and Heritage Studies. I am extremely excited to be part of The Hangar Museum’s “flight crew” for the opportunity to gain more experience in working in the museum heritage fields, while also learning and sharing Canada’s rich aviation history (which is often overlooked!) with visitors! I’m here to assist you with your needs. I cannot wait to see you at The Hangar Flight Museum!

Why did the Vampire take a flight? He wanted to experience high-stakes travel!
But there’s more to this Vampire than meets the eye:

The de Havilland Vampire flew with the air forces of more than 15 countries, with the Swiss Air Force being the last to retire theirs in 1999—56 years after the type’s first flight! The prototype Sea Vampire was the first jet to fly from an aircraft carrier.
