EMMEDIA Gallery & Production Society EMMEDIA Gallery & Production Society is a non-profit, artist-run centre for media art in Calgary.

Since its inception in 1979, EMMEDIA has maintained a two-part mandate: to support both the production and presentation of media arts. EMMEDIA responds to a broad community by offering affordable access to media art production tools and facilities, services, technical and educational support, an array of production programs and residencies, and a year round schedule of public exhibition programs i

ncluding the PARTICLE + WAVE Media Arts Festival. Our programs strive to foster artistic dialogue and engagement through complementary activities such as artist talks and panel discussions, workshops and publications.

Maybe you know Justin as one of the residents at The Breakdown, or as this year’s PARTICLE+WAVE Festival Coordinator, but beyond that, Justin is a Calgary-based filmmaker and dancer since 2017. He’s also an active leader with and continues to build Calgary’s q***r arts community through film, dance, and ballroom!

Check out how these artists take 360-degree visuals to the next level though live camera feeds, performance, and sound!

🌟erψn temp3st’s performance of Molecular Incantations // Sympathetic Telepathy explores the materiality of body, objects and sound by using the dome to expand the artwork into text, 3D renders, and historical paintings.

🌟pakone-kisik by Tyson Houseman opens up a portal between the universe and the place where humans come from through electronic soundscapes and performance with live video feeds of liquid and inks.

🌟Uii Savage's Ophiuchus Mirage illuminates the dome by pairing instrumental exploration with cascading lines to connect zodiacs within constellations.

🌟Need some inspiration for your DNA application? Let's look at previous PARTICLE + WAVE screenings at TELUS Spark Science Centre’s Infinity Dome!🌟

The mystical sky of Tyson Houseman’s pakone-kisik opens up a portal between universes through electronic soundscapes and a live video feed of swirling inks.

Sandrine Deumier and Cia Himiân Lí's Across the Lake/ Kòe Ô͘ transports viewers though micro and macro fragmentations of landscapes, emerging from water and plants that are larger than life.

Agogalyptic Splat by Linda Loh navigates through a 3D world of blurred colours and textures, surrounding the audience in digital confetti!
